and Dentistry In veterinary medicine, a thorough dental exam- ination and cleaning requires general anesthesia. This course addresses dentistry and anesthesia skills necessary for the veterinary nurse. Anesthesia topics include drugs used for general and local anesthesia, patient specific anesthetic considerations, how to operate the anesthesia machine, planes of anesthe- sia, and monitoring parameters.
