incubated on heart tissue sections from cardiac sarcoidosis patients, after which binding was assessed. Through this analysis, it was determined that: (1) CD206+ cell density is 15 to 95-fold higher in cardiac sarcoidosis compared to other conditions, and (2) Tilmanocept colocalized with CD206+ cells to specifically mark CS granulomas in tissue sections of multiple patients. These results highlight Tilmanocept’s ability to distinguish between CS and other cardiac conditions. Furthermore, it demonstrates Tilmanocept’s unique potential to be utilized as a diagnostic for CS through tilmnocept-based imaging.
