If you already have AP/IPC/PMC credit for a course (e.g. Chemistry 101), you can still enroll in that course at Duke. If you do this, however, while the AP/IP/PMC credit will still appear on your transcript, it will no longer count towards the 34 required to graduate. Talk with your Quad Advisor about the pros and cons of repeating a course for which you already earned credit before enrolling at Duke.

Forests are indispensable. They sustain local economies while providing environmental values ranging from mitigating climate change to protecting water quality and harboring biodiversity. Managing and conserving the world’s forest resources requires knowledge of biology, ecology, and economics, combined with skills in field measurements, silviculture, finance, and policy analysis. Duke’s Master of Forestry program trains students to apply an interdisciplinary approach to reconciling society’s many demands on forests and solving the complex challenges therein. Our students benefit from networking with our influential alumni, next-door access to the 7,000-acre Duke Forest, and participating in our innovative research programs and abundant internship opportunities.
The Federal Loan program also offers borrowing options for parents. The Parent PLUS Loan is a type of federal loan and is designed to provide a competitive borrowing option for individuals with more sensitive credit history. Parent PLUS Loans do not utilize traditional credit metrics for the basis of approval, like debt-to-income ratios or credit scores, but rather determine approval by "adverse credit history". Visit Federal Student Aid for a complete definition as to what constitutes an adverse credit history.

Academic Policies & Procedures for Undergraduates (“T-Reqs”)
The Arts & Sciences curriculum defines the set of academic experiences that will be shared by its students. Generative AI has advanced rapidly and is now deeply integrated into word processing, search engines, and other everyday tools. As these technologies become increasingly embedded in academic and professional workflows, understanding their capabilities and implications is more important than ever. The challenge for instructors is to discover how to incorporate Artificial Intelligence content generators as a tool in their teaching rather than view them solely as a threat. In the past, other technology tools such as multi-function calculators, spelling and grammar checkers, and statistical analysis software shifted the ways we learn and teach. As in those cases, educators will need to help students differentiate when AI can help with learning versus when it is a short cut around learning.
