WR 120Transferring In Your Second or Third Semester

If you’re a second or third semester student or a Transfer Student, you must meet with a Senior Quad Advisor in the AAC. They are assigned according to your first-year residence hall. Senior Quad Advisors are found here . Come prepared for your advising meeting. You don’t need to have a major chosen but be ready to discuss your interests and goals. This helps the Senior Quad Advisor recommend courses that align with your academic path and makes the meeting more productive. Once your transfer is approved, you’ll be assigned a Quad Advisor who will support you until you declare your major. Transferring in Your Fourth Semester or Later If you’re transferring in your fourth semester or beyond, you must declare your major as part of the transfer process. A Senior Quad Advisor ( found here ) will guide you through the steps and provide instructions for major declaration once your transfer to Trinity is finalized. Step Three: Apply Online Once you’ve completed Step 1 and (if needed) Step 2, you’ll receive an email with a link to the online transfer application. Deadlines: Spring transfer: December 15 Fall transfer: May 15 Important: Applications are reviewed after the deadline, not immediately upon submission. You will remain in Pratt, and therefore subject to Pratt polices, until your transfer is processed. If you skip Step 2 (in your 2 nd , 3 rd , or 4 th semester), your application will not be processed . Trinity College-to-Pratt School of Engineering Transfer All students must be in good academic standing to be considered for T2P transfer. Students who transfer into Pratt for the Spring semester of their 1 st year must complete the Pratt 1 st year requirements (EGR 101L, EGR 105L/CS 201, Writing 120). Students who transfer into Pratt after their first year and have not taken EGR 101L, must take a DUS-approved major elective in lieu of EGR 101L (sometime before graduation) . A 4-yr plan will be prepared, documented in DukeHub, and shared with the student in advance of the transfer. A realistic graduation date based on a standard progression (4 courses/semester, no summer or overloading assumed) will be estimated, shared with the student in advance of the transfer, and entered into the student record at the time of transfer. Students who request an earlier graduation date must discuss their request with their eventual Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) prior to completing the transfer application. Step One: Meet With Your Future Pratt School of Engineering Academic Dean All students transfer as undeclared and may declare a major after their first year. To begin, use the chart below to find your assigned dean based on the first letters of your last name. Then, email your future academic dean to schedule an appointment.
