MBA 548AI Strategy and ROI Capstone3

Credit(s): 3 MBA-548 serves as the capstone of the MBA program and the culmination of the AI track. In this final course, students integrate the foundational literacy of MBA-542, the operational understanding of MBA-546, the governance and risk frameworks of MBA-544, and the strategic and organizational insights of the MBA core to deliver a real, measurable, AI‑enabled business outcome for a target organization. The course develops four integrated managerial capabilities. First, students learn to diagnose AI opportunities by analyzing business processes, interviewing stakeholders, and identifying high‑value points where AI can improve efficiency, decision quality, customer experience, or organizational capacity. Second, they learn to construct rigorous business cases for AI initiatives, using ROI modeling, projected cash flows, risk‑adjusted return analysis, and capacity‑gain accounting tailored specifically to AI investments. Third, they learn to lead AI‑enabled organizational change, applying change‑management principles to phased rollout, role redesign, autonomy progression, human‑in‑the‑loop transitions, capability building, and stakeholder alignment. Fourth, they execute a capstone project that identifies, scopes, implements, measures, and communicates an AI‑enabled business initiative from end to end. The course culminates in a professional AI case study-a polished, evidence‑based deliverable suitable for executive‑level presentation-demonstrating the student’s mastery of applying AI strategically, operationally, and organizationally within a real business context.
