A primary objective of the course is for students to learn to differentiate among the various fields of Political Science, including Political Theory, American Politics, Comparative Politics, and International Relations. The course aims to assist in the development of analytical tools necessary for the study of political science. In particular, the course emphasizes learning to identify and evaluate arguments and the evidence that underpins them in both academic journals and newspaper articles. The course will cover the significant issues in the study of politics and political science. You will become familiar with the basic vocabulary of the discipline and learn how political issues are studied.
