JAPN

2 courses with the subject JAPN, each shown exactly as we captured it from the college's catalog, with every element we hold. Where the wording looks broken, that is our reading of the catalog, not the college's text.

JAPN 101:Beginning Japanese I

A beginner's course designed for students with very little or no knowledge or previous study of the language (students with 2 or more years of high school Japanese should enroll in JAPN 102). The focus is on basic oral expression, listening comprehension and acquiring simple reading and writing skills, so that students can gain confidence in the language and to begin to have conversations. The course will also develop cultural understanding, a key element to language learning, through the analysis of authentic visual media, written materials and cross-cultural interactions.
