PHIL 499:Philosophies of the Good Life
What are the ingredients for a life well-lived? Across the centuries, a multitude of thinkers, civilizations, and faith traditions have offered answers to this question. “Philosophies of the Good Life” explores these answers to consider their wisdom and to cultivate insights of our own. In this shared senior-level course, Jefferson students take a moment before graduating to read key texts from a variety of world cultures, discuss them with their classmates and instructor, and define values that will guide them in their professional and personal lives after graduation.
