This course is designed to provide students a basis for engaging in independent research by surveying literature relevant to the social sciences in general and to the student’s major discipline. Students will participate in a multidisciplinary seminar, with writing and technology workshops, and have individual research tutorials with mentors. In addition, students will enhance their present skills in the areas of critical thinking, problem solving, analytical thinking, summarization, communication, value clarification and practical application.
