This course focuses on the principles and practices of speech communication with emphasis on speech registers. Focus will include verbal skills (articulation, pronunciation, grammatical, lexical) and nonverbal skills. Class performance is directed toward proficiency in oral communication, including organization of ideas, clarity, fluency, and appropriate register. Prerequisites: ENGL111 and ENGL112.
