Prerequisite: Biochemistry I (CHY 321). 150 minutes of lec- ture per week. Offered Fall Semester.
A continuation of Biochemistry 322 with emphasis on human chemical and biological changes that occur including biosynthesis of lipids, amino acids, and nucleotides in relation to metabolism and gene replication and expression. Prerequisite: Biochemistry II (CHY 322j. 150 minutes of lecture per week. Offered Spring Semester.
This course will be an introduction to biochemical technique, which will include isola- tion, classification and quantification of both proteins and genetic material. These experi ments will serve to reinforce material learned in the lecture class. 360 minutes of laboratory per week. The course is designed for juniors or seniors with Biochemistry 321 as a prerequi- site and Biochemistry 322 as a corequisite. Offered Fall Semester.
