This course also compares other economic systems with that of the United States. 3 credits EO 408 (BSM 408) Labor Relations A study of the development and growth of the labor movement, including social movements, implications, and evolution of the legal framework for collective bargaining in the private and public sectors. Topics include preparation for bargaining and the costing of contracts, bargaining power, negotiations, impasses, the role of women in labor movements, and the future of labor-management relations. 3 credits
