HB 2028Beginning Hebrew I3
This course commences the study of Biblical (Classical) Hebrew and is designed to train students in the fundamentals of Hebrew morphology, grammar, vocabulary, and syntax (how words are used). With this basic knowledge, the student will be able to begin reading selected passages from the Hebrew Bible.
This course is a continuation of Beginning Hebrew I – with emphasis placed upon gaining an increased Hebrew vocabulary, knowing the main verb conjugations used in Biblical Hebrew, and acquiring an increased ability to read and translate from the Hebrew Bible. (Prerequisite course: HB2028)
This course is designed as the third semester in the student’s study of Biblical Hebrew. It is intended to increase the student’s grasp of vocabulary, grammar, and syntax, and to further their ability to read and translate the Hebrew Bible. (Prerequisite course: HB2029)
This course is designed to maximize the study of Hebrew grammar, syntax, and vocabulary, and to introduce the fundamental elements of Hebrew exegesis in order to equip the advanced student's ability to study, teach, and preach from the original language of the Hebrew Bible.
