SS 2326Human Sexuality, Marriage and Family Life3

This course will focus on marriage and family issues in contemporary culture from a Christian perspective. A theology of marriage and family life will be developed from Old and New Testament Scripture, and then used to evaluate current trends in the United States. Participants will acquire principles and resources that will strengthen their own family life, and enable them to minister effectively to couples and parents. SS3035 Cultural Anthropology (3) (Same as CG3035) Students examine behavior patterns of peoples throughout the world. The course is designed to aid students to communicate effectively in spite of economic, political, social, and religious differences. Yet it will also be stressed that economic, political, social and religious similarities found within the world’s peoples make a “common ground” that can be used for effective communication. SS3062 Comparison of World Religions (2) (Same as CG3062) A survey of the background and doctrines of the world’s religions, both ancient and modern. Designed to equip the student with a working knowledge of such religions as Hinduism, Islam and Buddhism.
