Studio Lighting: Introduces students to the practices and techniques of lighting and digitally photographing subjects commonly depicted in commercial or advertising photographs. Assignments will include photographing glassware, metalware, food, small products, large products, architecture, location photography, portraiture, and fashion. Covers background choice, styling and prop usage, location photography utilizing a mix of natural and controlled lighting, and green screen usage for video. Utilizes common Photoshop post- production techniques on all assignments. Upon completion, students will have created a portfolio of photographs suitable for presentation in a work portfolio.
