Examines a broad range of leadership concepts, theories, and models. Students will understand the need for effective leadership within all personal and professional environments. Studies current thinking about the concept of leadership. Course is intended for individuals who aspire to improve their leadership skills and knowledge or who anticipate working with others within the socio-cultural systems of the world. Application: Offers practical application of the knowledge and skills developed in prior studies of leadership. Students, individually, will synthesize and evaluate the leadership knowledge and performance of themselves. Examines the evolution of leadership thought, the various methods of improving leadership performance through analytical decision- making, and current issues in leadership while focusing on team development and achievement of synergy. Emphasis is placed on global teams. Online only. Prerequisite: LEAD 1110. Spring, 3 hours lecture and discussion, 3 credits, not offered every semester.
