This course introduces students to the role of databases in information technology.
This course is an entry level course that serves as an introduction to network technologies (computer and cellular networks, the Internet, the Internet of Things, etc.). It requires a minimum level of programming and math. The objective of this course is to provide a broad overview of networking technologies with a focus on the TCP/IP model and includes Cisco device related labs. The course introduces concepts in data communications, Internet technologies and basic system performance analysis. Concepts covered included TCP/IP, LANs, WANs, internetworking, signals, communications media, routers, and switches. Distance education offering may be available.
