This course is a study of the quality philosophy and Just-in-Time techniques designed to improve the abil- ity to economically respond to change. Topics include production to demand with perfect quality, no unnec- essary lead times, elimination of waste, developing pro- ductivity of people, and the quest for continuous im- provement. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of Just-in-Time meth- ods and be prepared for the APICS CPIM examina- tion.
