ARTE 0846Arts, Community, and Climate Justice3

How can Temple students join in the effort to build climate justice? Many of us are looking for ways to join in efforts to effectively address the climate crisis and interlocking issues around environmental racism. In this course, students will bring to bear their interests in arts and expressive media as they build skills in climate action and cultural organizing with their own communities. Through site visits and research on neighborhood-based climate justice projects, we will explore how a range of communities use arts and cultural organizing to reclaim their connections with land and address the climate crisis.
