Discussion of biological and molecular features of oncogenesis and clinical cancer with details of specific molecular events of carcinogenesis, metastasis, and cellular transduction with a review of treatment modalities and prevention protocols for clinically important human cancers.
BIOL 440 , and either CHEM 351 or CHEM 451 ) Fundamentals of biochemistry, cell and molecular biology will be used to explore various themes in molecular life science. Students are responsible for researching advanced topics and presenting lecture/discussions or case studies to the class.
