This course introduces students to a solution-based model for short-term counseling that incorporates knowledge of and practice in facilitation skills, cognitive behavioral approaches, and biblical teaching.

Students will explore biblical and theological concepts alongside psychological theories to address the emotional, relational, and spiritual needs of individuals and families. Students will explore different counseling models as well as topics such as the nature of God, the process of formation, and the application of spiritual disciplines to promote growth and wellness in the lives of those they serve.

It covers biblical principles for marriage, as well as practical tools and strategies to enhance communication techniques, conflict resolution, and emotional health, to help couples build strong, lasting relationships.
