The class is designed to help students develop the capacity to have difficult discussions around issues of race and other topics (gender, sexual orientation). The course represents an opportunity to have a positive impact on the matriculation and graduation rate of diverse student populations through positive reinforcement and affirmation of cultural heritage and background.
