Through a 5-hour practicum, students will gain practical experience in the field of exercise science through a supervised practicum placement. Students will apply theoretical knowledge in a professional setting such as a fitness center, rehabilitation clinic, or sports team environment. The practicum provides opportunities for hands- on learning in areas like exercise prescription, client interaction, program implementation, and facility management. Students will conclude their practicum experience by reflecting on their experiences and tying those experiences to what they have learned throughout the program and how they can take what they have learned to enhance professional development and career readiness. 5.00 The political significance of contemporary world patterns of nations and states is considered through the interaction of their physical, economic and cultural aspects. 3.00 The interrelationships of geography, cartography and culture are explored through a study of population, migration, language, religion, social customs and political and economic development. We will examine what role these interrelationships have played in modern geography. 3.00 Introductory course in medical care organization. The health care system will be examined in terms of primary and secondary providers, financing mechanisms and the health services consumer. This course provides an introduction to the civilization of Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, including their politics, cultures, and social structures. 3.00 This course seeks to expand students' understanding of the historical, political, psychological and social dimensions of global communities, while learning to relate to and interact with those of different viewpoints and experiences.
