Spring This course is designed to give behavioral sciences students the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in a community agency with the instruction/supervision of an experienced professional. Students will also develop professional tools such as a resume and portfolio to record this professional experience. Emphasis is placed on development of knowledge, values and skills needed for practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities. 3 credit hours
Fall/Spring This course is designed to prepare the student for the application of elementary statistical tools to laboratory/field research projects and journal projects/publication preparation. Topics include descriptive statistics as tools to summarize and describe groups of data, inferential statistics including parametric and non-parametric hypotheses testing as tools for making inferences about population from samples. Students who have taken MAT 250 or QBA 260 are not permitted to take this course. 3 credit hours
Fall/Spring/Summer This course is designed to provide students with an opportunity to take part in service learning and explore various social issues as they relate to the field of behavioral sciences. Each student will complete a minimum of 100 hours of service in an approved community agency/organization. Students will be expected to reflect critically on their service experience and apply their knowledge of behavioral sciences theory, policy, research, and practice.

Spring This seminar is designed to provide graduating seniors with opportunities to integrate both the theories and the research techniques acquired during their college experiences. Seniors will participate in discussions, do original research, and present their findings to the class and/or community groups.
BEH 495Experiential Learning in Behavioral Sciences
Fall/Spring/Summer A program that provides on the job experiences to qualified students in the field of behavioral sciences. The student spends a minimum of 120 hours per semester working on site with a selected agency. This experience provides an opportunity to explore job possibilities as well as making academic work more meaningful. Students must have earned 60 or more credits and a minimum of 2.5 cumulative grade point average at the time of application. Grading system is number grade. 3 credit hours each semester
