Effective Date 04/21/2022 An introduction to essential programming concepts, structures, and techniques. Students will gain confidence in not only reading code, but learning how to find help when encountering problems and what it means to write good quality code. The course has an applied focus and will address how to acquire and clean data as well as perform simple analysis to understand data using Python. Effective Date 04/21/2022 Allows students to gain experience working on data-driven problems. Students will explore the application of analytical models, including regression and classification methods, to curated datasets. In pairs, students will work together on an original question to identify data, manipulate the data, perform exploratory data analysis, conduct models and present results.
