6 courses with the subject ENGR, each shown exactly as we captured it from the college's catalog, with every element we hold. Where the wording looks broken, that is our reading of the catalog, not the college's text.
ENGR 101Introduction to Engineering3
This project-based course introduces students to the study and practice of engineering. Through real-world design challenges, students gain experience with problem formulation, solution refinement, prototyping, application of mathematics and science, computer software and programming, visualization, technical writing, oral presentation, resource estimation and teamwork. The course provides a foundation in engineering ethics and professional behavior and the relationship of technology to contemporary social issues. Other topics include professional engineering organizations and the history of technolgy. Credit(s): 3
This course covers signal processing, which is the transformation of signals from one form to another to extract and process information, enabling them to be converted into useful forms for communication, display, storage and control. Covered topics may include both continuous- and discrete-time signals and systems, basic signal examples, analog-digital and digital-analog conversion, sampling and Nyquist rates, Fourier and z-transforms, DFT and FFT algorithms, transfer functions, convolutions, filtering and applications. Credit(s): 3
This course incorporates planning the development of information systems through understanding what a system should do and how the components of the system should be implemented and work together. This is accomplished through a review of number systems, binary arithmetic, Boolean algebra, logic gates and physics-based circuits laws. It discusses properties and uses of elementary electronic components. Additional course topics include finite state machines, combinatorial circuits, sequential circuits, switching circuits, analysis and simulation of DC and AC circuits, decoders, multiplexers, adders, wave-shaping circuits and amplifiers. Students will implement circuit designs and conduct diagnostic measurements. Credit(s): 3
ARVR 401 The ENGR 401-402 capstone sequence requires student work on a major engineering project for a client, as part of an internship or with another form of external impact. This course covers design thinking, project reviews and prototyping. Credit(s): 3
ARVR 402 The ENGR 401-402 capstone sequence requires students work on a major engineering project for a client, as part of an internship or with another form of external impact. In this continuation of ENGR 401, students learn product development, review, testing, documentation and support techniques as they complete their projects. Credit(s): 3
This course covers advanced concepts and designs of combinational and sequential digital systems. Topics include creation and use of algorithmic state machine charts, Verilog descriptions and synthesis, design verification and functional simulations, FPGA implementations, timing analysis and constraints, synchronous and asynchronous designs, storage devices and I/O clocking. Students will implement circuit designs and conduct diagnostic measurements. Credit(s): 3
