2 courses with the subject SIM, each shown exactly as we captured it from the college's catalog, with every element we hold. Where the wording looks broken, that is our reading of the catalog, not the college's text.
SIM 201Fundamentals of Modeling and Simulation3
In this course, the modeling and simulation (M&S) discipline is surveyed at a level of detail that introduces students to the basic terminology, modeling methods and simulation paradigms. The course provides a general conceptual framework for the use of modeling and simulation in various disciplines and applications. An overview of the generally recognized body of knowledge (BoK) that comprises the M&S discipline and its application is covered. Credit(s): 3
MATH 201 (minimum grade C) or equivalent. MATH 208 (minimum grade C) or equivalent.
SIM 302Simulation and Analysis Methods3
This course provides a study of different simulation techniques including Monte-Carlo, discrete-event and system dynamics simulations. It provides an introduction to queuing theory, data analysis, and system behavior over time for prediction, analysis and decision making. Students learn the use of computer simulation software to execute system abstractions and models. Credit(s): 3
