9 courses with the subject MATH, each shown exactly as we captured it from the college's catalog, with every element we hold. Where the wording looks broken, that is our reading of the catalog, not the college's text.
MATH 5060Statistics and Probability (3 credits)3
The emphasis of this course will be on understanding various statistical concepts and techniques including measures of central tendency, correlation coefficients, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, and inferential statistics. The fundamentals of probability that will be discussed include univariate and multivariate distributions, expectation, conditional distributions, and the law of large numbers.

MATH 5100Algebraic Thinking for Math Teachers (3 credits)3
This course examines the development of algebraic thinking in grades K-12 from a research-based and theoretical perspective. Multiple instructional approaches, including the use of technology, are explored within the context of learning theories and established frameworks. Core topics include equality, variables and symbols, equivalence, patterning, rate of change, and functions. Emphasis is placed on analyzing the ways students construct algebraic understanding and on the instructional design and pedagogical strategies that can foster deeper conceptual development across the K-12 continuum. Assignments and instructional applications will be differentiated to address the distinct pedagogical needs and content emphases appropriate for middle grades (6-9) and high school (9-12) mathematics teaching.

MATH 5200Geometric Thinking for Math Teachers (3 credits)3
This course examines the development of geometric thinking in grades K-12 from a research-based and theoretical perspective. Multiple instructional approaches, including the use of technology, are explored within the context of learning theories and established frameworks. Core topics include measurement, similarity, congruence, properties of two- and three-dimensional figures, circles, and non-Euclidean geometries. Emphasis is placed on analyzing the ways students construct geometric understanding and on the instructional design and pedagogical strategies that can foster deeper conceptual development across the K-12 continuum. Assignments and instructional applications will be differentiated to address the distinct pedagogical needs and content emphases appropriate for middle grades (6-9) and high school (9-12) mathematics teaching.

MATH 5300Statistical Thinking for Math Teachers (3 credits)3
This course examines the development of statistical thinking in grades K-12 from a research-based and theoretical perspective. Multiple instructional approaches, including the use of technology, are explored within the context of learning theories and established frameworks. Core topics include distribution, measures of center and spread, sampling, sampling distributions, randomness, and the law of large numbers. Emphasis is placed on analyzing the ways students construct statistical reasoning and on the instructional design and pedagogical strategies that can foster deeper conceptual development across the K-12 continuum. Assignments and instructional applications will be differentiated to address the distinct pedagogical needs and content emphases appropriate for middle grades (6-9) and high school (9-12) mathematics teaching.
