EDCI 2050Introduction

to Outdoor Education (3CR) (1L, 4LB) This practicum course addresses pedagogies specific to teaching in outdoor settings. Students will teach field science in this outdoor course. course that includes some classroom and field (outdoor) experiences. Culmination of this course will include an outdoor teaching experience in an on-site camp environment that will be 3- 5 days in length. Students should be comfortable walking and teaching in an outdoor environment. This is a companion course to EDUC 2100, which should be taken concurrently with or prior to taking this course. This course is intended for secondary science education majors or other students with advisor or instructor approval.
