The course is designed to build educator identity, develop skills in observing the physical environment of educational settings, understand the responsibilities and ethics of educational professionals, and engage in and reflect on service learning activities. Students engage in classwork and at least 30 clock hours of practicum in educational settings. Max Credit: 1

This course introduces students to basic principles of second language acquisition and factors that influence the processes. Understanding the processes of language acquisition, will better equip students to plan instructional strategies that facilitate English language learners' language. Max Credit: 3
Designed to acquaint the student with philosophical, social, historical, and political influences on education, to develop critical thinking skills, and to raise awareness of practices in the PreK-20 education system.
