HADM 651. Focuses on the understanding and analysis of health-related information, such as patient data, electronic health records (EHR), and publicly available datasets. Data analysis includes techniques for identifying, exploring, and interpreting data patterns and trends. Health analytics concepts are presented within a larger context of population health informatics.

A directed study course designed to permit students to investigate specific problems or areas of interest appropriate for graduate study under the direction of a supervising professor. Completion of a minimum of 24 credits in the program; HSCI 715 , HSCI 716 . This course, which is the first in a three-part capstone series, will guide doctoral students through the design and development of an applied scholarly capstone project.
Completion of a minimum of 24 credits in the program, HSCI 715 , HSCI 716 , HSCI 870 . This course is a continuation of student work initiated in HSCI 870 and is the second of a three-part capstone series. Building on the foundation established in Capstone I, this course will focus on guiding students in the implementation of an applied scholarly capstone project. Preliminary analysis of quantitative and qualitative data will also be included.
Completion of a minimum of 24 credits in the program, HSCI 715 , HSCI 716 , HSCI 870 , HSCI 871 . This course is the culmination of student work initiated in HSCI 870 and HSCI 871 and is the final course in the three-part capstone series.
